In the last week, we assessed a cookstove project that is eligible for trading under Article 6.2. The project received a rating of B under the Calyx Global rating framework – the highest rating to date of cookstove credits in our ratings system.
These credits are among the first on the voluntary carbon market (VCM) that are authorized for Article 6 transactions. The project, registered under Gold Standard as GS 11924, was a Component Project Activity (CPA) of the highly-publicized “Malawi Biomass Energy Conservation Programme” Program of Activities (PoA) GS 11677.
