After a more than year-long pause in rating CAR Mexico Improved Forest Management (IFM) projects, Calyx Global has resumed. Read on to find out why.

In June 2024, Calyx Global paused rating CAR Mexico IFM projects due to uncertainty in early-year removal claims. This blog explains why we now feel confident rating some of these credits.

Why can we now rate CAR Mexico projects?

The second field verification is now complete, decreasing uncertainty.

Accurate data is essential to providing our customers with reliable ratings. This is why on June 3, 2024, Calyx Global announced that it would temporarily pause rating Improved Forest Management (IFM) projects under the CAR Mexico Forest Protocol (CMFP) and instead provide only risk assessments (without a final rating).
